No plans for Deep Sea Fishing...house has lots of porch areas...to fish off of, but no Reels...just poles here...so no plans are definite about fishing yet.  We should have checked better about the fishing poles she said was here...never occurrred to us we needed to ask about Reels too.

Dawn what are your & your daughters New Years Eve Plans?  Be safe whatever you do...better to be home and bored than in a treacherous situation.  Is S.Falls getting the storm as bad a Mitchell...KMIT said another 9 inches coming. 

We have New Years Eve Reservations at a nice Restuarant called HEMMINGWAYS...piano to entertain us.  We are in the first shift: 6:30-8:30...next shift is 9:30-12.:30.  Organized aren't they.  I plan to eat fish.  Love MOM

We have only settled in the house, purchased groceries for 3 days...and toured a FULTON MANSION.  A 4 story house well constructed, which we got to see why with the layers and layers of lathes and plaster construction.  The fella was a bridge builder too.  It has survived hurricanes...built in 1840's. 

Now we are trying to decide on a nice restuarant for New Year's Eve dinner...no parties here.  So will have to go back home for our own party and games.  Most places to eat are quite quaint...but locals enjoy them and so we will too. 

Sorry it took so long to locate the encyrption key to get on internet, as my Verizon set up didn't work in this house...must have steel beams.  As Ever, Kay

12-26-10 Shafer's & th 4 Krcils are at Roanoke TX, near Keller Tx or Dallas/Ft Worth.  Our friend Barb Zimmerman is visiting her son, Bobby and wife Tracy, in Keller and have invited the 6 of us over for supepr at their house to watch the Vikings Football Game.  so lots of Mitchellites gathering togetherness tonight.
Bobby and Tracy have a beautiful home with a large Media Theatre Room and a Wine Cellar...we shall have fun.  As Ever, Kay

Heading to Texas with friends in a couple days

Well we leave in a few days with two other couples for our extended stay in Texas.
Each taking seperate vehicles so the gals can fit all their 'needs' in the car and so we can go our seperate ways when we need to.
Looking forward to some relaxation at a house we rented together down by the ocean and the company of our friends whom are already retired.
We retire next year so this is a trial runon that fun of no need to worry about the business we own and run.
When we get to retire next year we'll be traveling in our motorhome we just purchased this year.  Really looking forward to that.
Can't wait to leave the snow of SD behind and have some fun.
Fresh seafood, lots of new places to see and new people to visit with--should be a good month ahead.
